The Frydendal Kro & Hotel is located in the village of Helved near Augustenborg, Denmark. Helved which translates to holly forest lies on the border of the Norreskov Forest, a beech woodland with ancient burial grounds hugging the northern shores of the island of Als. The Norreskov forest is 9 km long. Two kilometres away the port at Fynshav offers moorings for boats to Bjoden and Sonderborg Airport.
